Meet The Dr. Behind Dryello

Our founder, dermatologist Dr. Carl, didn’t just treat Athlete’s Foot sufferers, he was one. He knew first-hand that if he could develop a clean, easy-to-use athlete’s foot solution that went on dry and stayed dry, he could upstage all the wet, messy options that add to the problem and save a lot of feet from a lot of misery.

What is Athlete's Foot?

Athlete’s foot (tinea pedis) is a common skin infection caused by a fungus. Left untreated, Athlete’s Foot can spread to toenails which can cause fungal nail infections. Athlete’s Foot can also spread to your hands if you scratch the itchy areas. It can also be passed person to person.

How do I know if I have athlete’s foot?

The Symptoms: redness, smelly feet, skin maceration, inflammation, itchiness. Many people don’t realize they have it even though they have these telltale signs:

  • Red, flaky, or peeling skin
  • Small cracks or sore blisters
  • Dry, rough patches on the bottom of the foot
  • Unpleasant foot odor

What causes athlete’s foot?

Moisture, warmth, and sweat create the perfect conditions for fungus to grow—especially between the toes. Walking barefoot in locker rooms, gyms, pools, or showers. Wearing shoes that make your feet sweat, like work boots or high heels, or wet sweaty socks for long periods.

How do I prevent athlete’s foot?

  • Apply Dryello daily, especially between the toes
  • Change shoes and socks each day
  • Avoid walking barefoot in public showers or gyms
  • Don’t share towels or shoes

Why does athlete’s foot keep coming back?

Athlete’s foot (tinea pedis) often keeps coming back because the underlying conditions that caused it in the first place—moisture, warmth, and exposure to fungus—are still present. Even after treatment, if the environment or habits don’t change, the fungus can return.
