Dr. Carl Schanbacher, a Board-Certified Dermatologist with over 25 years of experience treating skin infections, founded Dryello after seeing how often patients struggled with messy creams and treatments that didn't fit into daily life.

He noticed a frustrating pattern: moisture encouraged fungal growth, yet most treatments added even more wetness to already sweaty feet. Creams left residue, sprays missed target areas, and many patients simply gave up before seeing results. He wanted a solution that actually worked — and one that people would want to use.

The inspiration behind Dryello came to Dr. Schanbacher while watching his sons windsurf in Maui. As a whale surfaced nearby, he thought:

“Whales live in water. Whales like to be wet. Feet live on land - feet like to be dry.”

As someone who suffers from his own fungus-prone feet, Dr. Carl realized if he could help keep feet dry, he could help a lot of suffering feet.
